Arlon Printing increase production by 20%
November 2005
Commercial Printer Arlon has seen a significant increase in production since installing a B2 Pile Turner from Busch Graphic Machinery. The immediate difference to production levels has come as no surprise but the 20% hike (one month after installation) has.
"We knew the investment in the Pile Turner would make a difference," says Richard Cockerill, Managing Director, "but we were not prepared for this significant increase. Brother Dave and I had looked at Pile Turner options for some years and were very pleased to see the option for B2 come on to the market. B1 size was not suitable for us as we run two Komori B2 presses — one 4-colour and one 5-colour. Also space was a problem."
"We chose the Busch model for the quality of engineering as we knew it would be a workhorse," continues Cockerill. "The B2 Pile Turner is a godsend. The machine minders cannot stop talking about the difference it has made in the factory. We work day and night shift here at Arlon and the pile turner just does not stop. The machine is working a full 24 hour shift saving us time and money."
"We chose the model with Airer and Jogger," continues Cockerill, "as it helps to dry the sheets and gets rid of powder spray. It also turns the sheets ready for folding when necessary in perfect alignment. The Pile Turner has made a real difference to our production levels and to our business."
